Hand made cyanotype using x-ray of four tomato seeds on Arches Aquarelle Watercolor paper (300 gsm).
These images were created using equipment designed to determine seed viability. What that means is if you are a farmer and you need to buy a lot of seeds, you want to know what percentage of the seeds have a chance to sprout. (e.g. If 50% of the seeds are viable, then you have to buy at least double what you need to feed your livestock.) When a sample of the seeds are x-rayed, the farmer gets a chance to peek inside to see if there are well-developed germs, and make a technologically informed business choice.
Image size is 16x20. Sheet size is approx 18x23. Set in a white museum-quality unbuffered matt.
