Hand made cyanotype using N-Ray of a pair of maple seeds on Arches Aquarelle Watercolor paper (300 gsm).
N-Ray (or Neutron Ray) is a process of using neutrons instead of photons (normal cameras) to make photographic images. The source for the neutrons is a 5 story nuclear reactor. The items to be photographed (or more appropriately neutrographed) are put inside the reactor with a sheet of film. The resulting image is similar to an X-ray, but reveals very different things within the object being photographed.
Image size is 16x20. Sheet size is approx 18x23. Set in a white museum-quality unbuffered matt.
